Status update

Hey just a heads up, development of this game is now officially on an indefinite hiatus.

I have a few concepts I still want to tweak in the core rules, some really good stuff, but I can't get anything done until I have a list and stats for a variety of weapons, tools, vehicles, and cyberware. The thing is I just can't seem to get started with that. I think I've reached the point in development when I realize I need help. And I don't know anyone remotely interested.

Family and work are also conspiring to end my game development career, so there's that.

And I also haven't been able to get anyone to playtest the current or previous versions. Only 2 kind internet strangers actually read it (and provided useful feedback) after much begging in various internet forums. If I'm my own audience, then honestly what's the point if I'm not having fun?

Recruiting playtesters is hard.

Anyway, if coming up with items for other people's games is your thing, drop me a line and we'll get to work right away.

What's next?

I'm thinking of getting humble and writing a "lite" version of the game. Zine-sized, if you will. I'll publish it here so those who donated don't leave empty-handed, or at least get something they might actually read. If you want to know what it'd be like, I published a similar small game here just the other day (It's free).

I felt like writing a bit of satire, but I wanted it to be playable, so I used a stripped-down version of the CoReS ruleset to make it work. I got the idea, thought about it, wrote it down, and shoved it out into the ether in just 2 days.

It was fun and the amount of effort I put into it was low enough that I won't cry when inevitably I realize no one will ever play it. So keep an eye out for that soon.
